Red face Put Sailfish on Antique Replicator

My ancient replicator 1 dual head is so old, nothing knows how to update it. I used to use the old "Makerware" program for a slicer, but now only Makerbot Desktop is available and that makes the newer .x3g files instead of the paleolithic .s3g files it needs. I have used it to print LOTS of stuff and it has outlived a large number of computers. I got it second hand in '16.

It has a MightyBoard revision E board.
The display says "The Replicator Firmware Version 5.2"

I have the ReplicatorG - Sailfish - 40r34 program. Replicator G doesn't seem to communicate with the boot loader, if there is one.

I have Atmel Studio and Arduino programming environments.

Is it possible to use Arduino to flash this?
Is it possible to use ISP and Atmel Studio to flash new firmware onto this?
If so, can somebody point me to instructions, like which hex file to use and such?

    (I have a sidewinder x1 on order)
