WOW!! ender 3 cought fire, what new mainboard to get?
So I am increasing the build volume of an ender 3 pro.
The y axis now is 90cm long and the stepper motor / main board (V4.2.2) proofed unable to move the bed.
Worse even. The stepper driver caught fire with a huge (relativity) flame and a tremendous amount of smoke that made my shirt stink gnarly.
So I am looking to replace the board but would like to get something open source, very powerful to be able to also use it for CNC machining thick steel and is expandable for additional stepper motors, sensors and what has one
Can anyone recommend what to search for, the things I should take into consideration during my search?
A suggestion for a board is also welcome.
