Smile The First-Of-Its-Kind Self-replicating, High precision 3D Printer The BI V2.0

We are posting the announcement below by invitation from the site owners and administrators who felt the members would find our project of interest.

We just launched our self-replicating 3D printer on KickStarter, the BI V2.0.

Our printer is different than others as we've made major breakthroughs in the technology. We opted for 3D
printed parts and really took the leap leaving behind classic aluminum extrusions, injection molded or laser-cut parts while still achieving precision and affordability.

Main features include: a massive 300mm X 300mm, auto-leveling probe & LCD screen (for stand-alone operation), up to 3 extruders, heat bed, printed carriages (no metal bearings), hall sensors, self-leveling pulley system and more.

All designs will be made open source after the project but we still need your help. If you like our work share and spread the word so we can do more.

    Merry Christmas!
    Simon

That does look nice and clean. Agree that a link would be cool as well.

My B1 V2.o be delivered this month [ June] and there have been regular emails updating improvements to the build. They have been upfrout with every new idea that has been tried and tested. The design is the same, but some of frame joining plastic pieces that were printed have been replaced with injection molded ones and thats a good improvement.
I can't wait to get mine and start building, really chuffed. cheers, Ian
