    Y axis slipping

I've got a Replicator 2 with about 350 printing hours. It suddenly started slipping in the Y direction.
    - The belts are all tight and I can find no damaged teeth or unused wear.
    - And the XYZ step motor cable has been replaced already with a crutch to help it not be bent in the future.
    - The gantry seems to be aligned.
    - I have yet to grease.

I'm not sure how to continue.

Have you tried to tighten the set screws on the drive pulley?
Second thing would be to decease the speed of the non print moves.

I have been unable to find a hex screw small enough, however the belt there is tight. Also even when printing the raft it skips.

Since posting, I have greased the bot, aligned the gantry and switched out the servo for the y axis, with no change in the problem.

I found my smaller hex screw. I also aligned the gantry, greased, and switched out the Y motor with a spare to no effect.

But I replaced the short Y belt with a spare because it was loose. But its still skipping, the new belt had no effect.

I know bugger all to be honest, but could it be stepper motor driver board going bad ?

If you confirmed that motor, pulley, belt teeth, belt tension etc are all tight, and ribbon cable is good then it has to be the stepper motor driver boards ?

I have only ever seen inside one printer and that is a MB Rep 2, and that was in last few days.

You could try taking the main board cover off from underneath, and swapping over a pair of the little "BotStep" boards. I think the sockets are labelled. At least, mine is.
