Red face How Do I Wire A Heat Bed?

I have an MK 1 plate, a 12v DC power supply, and a Rex PID Temp. Controller, with a thermocouple that has a rather short length of shielded wire ending at a threaded end. Just how do I wire it, and is there anything else I may need? I have posted other like minded threads, but now I'm just confused and, unsure as to how to do it safely. Please comment and, go easy on me, I'm somewhat challenged in this area. Thank you.

What controller board do you have? That will be needed so we can help you hook the wires up and get printing. For example if you have a Ramps board it will look like this. 424px-Rampswire14.svg.jpg

My system is completely stand alone, not connected to or by a controller board. All other electronics for my machine are dedicated to a C.N.C. Gantry Router platform. I use an interchangeable arrangement of a Spider head, and a spindle motor. So, I want to, safely wire an independent system, consisting of those parts I listed in the previous post. The heated plate will also be an interchangeable part that I can put in when 3D printing.
