I'd like to see a sample of its output, on a part that has a good amount of detail. Have you been using it long? How do you like it? What are its limitations, and what are its strengths?

How much do these cost? And how do they work? I assume these diy machines.

Do you have a link to demonstrate how the scan works? Round objects in 3D vs square and flat.

it would be good to know its accuracy as well.

How large of an item will it scan? Is this similar to the copier tools on a cnc where it uses a probe?

The typical price is $1400 but are currently on sale for $949. Kinda high priced in my opinion. The current scan size is 8" diameter x 8" high. The accuracy is +- 2mm which isn't bad. You could do just as good if not better using the xbox connect.

Does anyone have a model file created by one of these? We are looking at getting a Makerbot Replicator at work to take some of the load off of our Stratasys, and this caught my eye.
