    Favorite 3D Printing Sites

I thought we could create a list of sites which are good quality 3d printing content. I will start, please follow:

    http://3dprintindustry.com - 3D printing news
    http://3DPrint.com - 3D Printing News and Interviews
http://3dprintboard.com - another 3d printeing forum, pretty active
    http://3dprintic.com/ - 3d printing news aggregator.

    .
    .
    .
Please reply and add 3d printing resources to this list!

Just wanted to add another for Thingiverse. I still haven't found any great resources yet, but Thingiverse seems to be the best out there.

The primary issue with Thingiverse (and maybe I just havent found filters) is that its full of junk. Several reposts of the same item over and over, lots of files that are just invalid or "test" files.

But, maybe the OP could go through these posts and add them to the First Post.

So what features would you guys like to see in a 3d printing content web site?

Here are a couple off the top of my head:

    • Easily search, browse and discover models
    • Great commenting / rating system to help push bad prints down and keep good prints near the top
    • Flagging for illegal, offensive or prints that just don't work
    • 3d gallery preview as well as user photos of printed model

Most sites have a decent setup. Ease of Navigation, previews, Description/Assembly Info section, Comments.

The one thing that these sites seem to lack is a Filter/Tagging/Rating system in combination to a way to report Dupes. Thingiverse is littered with junk and dupes.

As for the objects that dont work, I am assuming you mean models that are missing surfaces or have damaged stl/obj/whatever files. This you could just use the same report system for dupes and what not.

As for offensive, I would just suggest a NSFW tag or even an OFFENSIVE tag that could be placed on objects thus they could be filtered out.

But, this is just my opinion.
